Le Bristol caters from Linda Sursock Palace

Hotel reopening pushed to June 2014

Le Bristol’s catering service will relocate to the Linda Sursock Palace in Ashrafieh, as of November 17, while the hotel in Verdun undergoes renovation, said Nazira El Atrache, General Manager.

The hotel had closed down in June 2012 to undergo a $20 million renovation. The reopening was originally scheduled for March 2014 but was postponed to June 2014 due to construction complications.

“The hotel is more than 60 years old and required serious restoration for all rooms, suites, and infrastructure, in order to maintain the same caliber of services,” said El Atrache.

She said the hotel received a lot of requests to open a temporary address for catering. The hotel leased the Sursock Palace for one year, subject to renewal. “This allowed us to guarantee employment to all our staff.” Catering operations at the palace will end as soon as the hotel reopens.

Catering fees have a wide range, starting at $50 per person for the buffet.

Le Bristol has 151 rooms, including 117 standard and executive ones, and 34 suites. It is owned by the Doumit family, which is also active in industry.
