The Ministry of Justice launched the new Commercial Register website to facilitate registration procedures for new companies. The website is still in its Beta phase and contains only some information about registered companies in Beirut.

The website, cr.justice.gov.lb, includes detailed steps for traders to follow on how to register companies. It also mentions the processes, required documents, and fees for each type of license, as well as the paperwork that goes through the Commercial Register such as leases, mortgages, and registration of foreign traders.

A search engine allows users to type in a company’s registry code and acquire information about it, such as shareholders, branches, and capital.
