Alfa Anghami, a new music bundle, was launched by local mobile operator Alfa, last week.

The service allows Alfa subscribers, through Anghami’s mobile application, to listen, stream, and download the music tracks they want at a lower data rate.

The bundle allows both prepaid and post-paid users to download and share millions of songs and ringtones and to listen to music using their Smartphone, through the Anghami application.

Subscribers can choose between two packages: Alfa Anghami 150 MB, available for $1 per month, or Alfa Anghami 750 MB, available at $3.99 per month.

The user may listen to the downloaded songs offline, without an Internet connection.

Mobile operator, Touch, launched with Anghami, the first in-app payment system. This service allows Touch’s prepaid and post-paid users to pay for the Anghami app using an operator billing system instead of through a credit card.

Founded in 2012 by Eddy Maroun and Elie Habib, Anghami offers millions of songs to stream and download. It features licensed content from leading Arabic labels such as Rotana, Platinum Records, and Melody, as well as music from international studios such as Universal and Sony. The app has more than 2 million downloads internationally, of which 150,000 are local.
