The Ferrari Middle East and Africa regional office, based in Dubai, announced last week during a press conference in Beirut the transition of the Ferrari dealership in Lebanon from the Sports Motors Group to Scuderia Lebanon, chaired by Hassan Haidar. The chair is a business entrepreneur active in the real estate sector. He is new to the auto trade, but he has a personal collection of sport cars.

“The reason for the transition was simply because Sports Motor Group was no longer interested in keeping the dealership,” said a source from Scuderia. The Ferrari showroom will remain at Saifi Village for the next six months, after which the company will open a high visibility representation showroom in Verdun. Future expansion plans include a three-story building in Dbayeh that will include a second new and pre-owned showroom with a 500 square meter workshop. The building will be dedicated to Ferrari service and customers, with a club house at the top. The expected date of completion is in 18 months, with an investment of around $5 million, according to the source. Ferrari customers will expect to receive Ferrari service while attending exclusive Ferrari events, focus groups, and updates.

Ferrari sold 35 units in 2013. The new Ferrari Speciale 458 has a starting price of $400,000 including VAT. Other models are also available. Delivery takes place six months after the date of request.
