Travelport, an international distribution services and e-commerce provider for the global travel industry, announced on February 25 the renewal of its full content agreement with Middle East Airlines (MEA).

The agreement provides Travelport’s agents around the world with access to MEA’s web content including its fares. MEA has selected Travelport as its preferred partner, allowing customers traveling through Travelport agencies to benefit from its exclusive promotions and support.

Nizar Khoury, Head of Commercial Operations at MEA, said: “Travelport’s extensive, world-wide travel agency network complements our ambitious growth plans, making them a valued partner and important distribution channel. We look forward to continue working closely with them as we take our business to the next level.”

The new deal reinforces Travelport’s commitment to the local market, where it set up office in 2012 to closely manage and support the airlines and distributors in the region. The company had announced last year the renewal of its distributor contract with Gate 7, a local travel integration services company.
