Former basketball player and current TV host Tony Baroud has taken his restaurant concept, Qube, to the Emirates. The eatery had launched its operations in the local market in Kaslik in 2012.

Qube Dubai is located on Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Boulevard in Downtown, Dubai. The eatery has the capacity to host up to 300 people. It will keep the same concept and menu as the local branch, said Charbel El Sokhn, partner in the restaurant. The expansion is the result of a franchise agreement with a local partner.

“We have chosen Dubai because it is booming and an attractive destination with great exposure,” he said.

El Sokhn said that a wide expansion plan is prepared for the UAE. “We will open soon a branch in Abu Dhabi and several other potential locations are being reviewed and studied.”

Investment in Qube Dubai reached around $2 million. Similar sums will be dedicated to the expected outlets.

Locally, the restaurant owners have plans to develop a chain and open several other properties, at a later stage.
