Meissen, a German brand of jewelry, accessories, home decoration, and haute couture, will inaugurate its 200 square meter flagship boutique soon in Downtown Beirut. The soft opening will take place by mid-April, while the grand opening is expected in May.

The overall investment in the boutique is above $1.5 million, said Joan Tamer, Brand Manager of Meissen.

The brand is brought by Tamer Group, its master franchise in the MENA region. Tamer said that they are looking to expand in that region. It is planning to open mono-brand boutiques in the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar.

Meissen had announced its international expansion in the Middle East in November 2012. Tamer Group has been present in the region since 1875, and Meissen chose them due to its legacy in the market of luxury products and their distribution. The Swiss luxury watch brand Audemars Piguet is distributed by Tamer Group. That paved the way to become partners with Meissen.
