The Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture in Sidon and South Lebanon (CCIAS), has launched its new regional office in Tyr. This office is a result of a partnership between the Chamber and the European Union. It is financially supported by the South Business Innovation Center (SouthBIC) that was established with the assistance of the SME Support Program, an EU funded project in cooperation with the Ministry of Economy and Trade.

“This initiative aims to facilitate the commute of traders, industrialists, farmers and business owners to the premise in Tyr,” said Mohamad Saleh, President of the CCIAS. The objective of the new office is to help citizens in the south achieve their transactions in a fast way. “The office will offer all the services of the chamber, especially the ratification of the bills and the subscription renewal,” said Saleh.

“By adopting this kind of offices, the load on the big cities will be reduced,” said Saleh. It will also seek to develop the productive sectors in Tyr.

The chamber has already opened a previous office in Nabatiyeh in 2013.
