The Council of Ministers approved the building and restoration of roads in Mayrouba and Haret Sakhr.

The first project links Mayrouba to Nahr El Dahab and Jouret Termos. It attaches Kesrouan to Ftouh and from it to Jbeil. Studies have been concluded and expropriations are done. The road is awaiting execution. The project cost is $28 million.

The second project is the restoration and completion of a road linking Haret Sakhr to Daraoun and Achkout. The road between Bkerki, Harissa, and Achkout was first expanded in 1997 in preparation for the visit of Pope John Paul II. Expansion reached Bkerki and stopped. The road is parallel to Nahr el-Kalb, and Jeita. The restoration works will cost $8 million.

Works on the two roads will be done over three phases between 2015 and 2017.
