Italian support for
social programs
$14 million for various projects

The Government has approved grants by its Italian counterpart to fund 16 different projects with a total value of $14 million. The donation is targeting Syrian refugees as well as Lebanese communities affected by the Syrian spillover.

Two grants of $2 million each will be used to support children and families affected by migration, and victims of the war in Syria. Health assistance for Palestinian refugees from Syria received a grant of $2 million.

Grants are also being distributed for sanitary reform and child protection emergency interventions. Additionally,  programs related to education, municipal finance reform, and social development will also be financed.
