Saccal Holding, a manufacturer of generators and power solutions, is planning to open a factory in Saudi Arabia.

The $25 million facility will have a built-up area of 30,000 m2 and will manufacture 7,000 generators per year.

Asaad Saacal, Vice President of Saccal Holding, said that Saudi Arabia’s generator market exceeds $1.1 billion. The company has leased the land and is in the process of applying for the license.

The local Sacaal factory produces 6,000 generators per year, 77 percent of which are exported to Arab and African countries.

Saccal said: “We will be recruiting from different nationalities, but high management positions will be Lebanese.”

Saccal Holding also opened a warehouse in Syria to meet its market needs, due to the heavy damage that occurred to the power distribution networks there. “There is a serious risk in opening in Syria, but its demand for generators is growing.”

The company is also considering opening a factory in Nigeria to serve the Nigerian and Africa markets.
