Foma-Co, a manufacturer of mattresses, will build a factory in the Tebna Industrial City, east of Saida.

The company is investing $8 million into this project, including construction, equipment and the plot of land, which costs $3.8 million for 25,000 m2. The built-up area will reach 15,000 m2.

“The facility will target the local market. We don’t aim to export because the shipping costs are prohibitive for large volume products such as these,” said Oussama Helbawi, General Manager. When completed, the factory will be producing 250 mattresses, daily.

The industrial city is equipped with the required infrastructure such as water, sewage, and waste treatment, as well as roads and electricity networks.
