Hazmieh to get own food court
More than 15 restaurants and bars are planned
Share
A restaurant complex is under development in Hazmieh. When completed in one year, the complex will consist of 15 restaurants, five pubs, and office spaces, designed within a landscaped garden.
The developer and owner of the project is Venture Group, co-founded by Rabih Saba and Marwan Ayoub. It is also the company that developed Uruguay Street, Downtown.
Investment in the project is $9 million, and does not include the costs of each outlet’s interior design, according to Saba.
“The owners believe that Hazmieh is underserved, when it comes to restaurants, and that it is a good place to create such a concept, especially since there is great demand,” he said.
The complex is being built on an 7,800 square meter plot. It has a total built-up area of 4,056 square meters, of which 2,108m2 of interior space and 1,948m2 of terraces, including a floor for the restaurants and offices and two underground parking levels. The project also encompasses a gym, a nursery, a kids playground, and beauty salon.
The project is designed by Bernard Mallat Architects with Walid Zeidan Architects. “We wanted to create a trendy, comprehensive, and fully landscaped destination, with minimal concrete and maximum green area.”
So far, the list of potential tenants includes Starbucks, Roadster, Urbanista, Margherita Pizzeria, and Lina’s.
“We believe the region has high potential, and we are trying to develop a unique concept to serve the neighborhood,” Saba said.
