A new furnished apartment complex called ‘The Key Apart-Hotel’ is under development in Adlieh and expected to be operational by the summer of 2016.

The project is owned by JRW Hospitality, a family owned company. Walid Baroudi, one of JRW Hospitality’s founders, said “The location of the hotel is strategic. It is still a virgin area with a very high potential for a hospitality project.”

The hotel will be a four-star property meant to respond to the area’s increasing demand.

The Key Apart-Hotel will consist of ten aboveground floors, with five basements. With 1,400 square meters and a total built-up area of 13,000 m2, the hotel will have 95 rooms of between 40 to 90 m2 each. The investment in the project is around $24 million, excluding the land price.

Walid Baroudi is also the owner of The Peninsula Company, which owns and runs a series of hospitality developments, including The Peninsula Restaurants & Gardens in Dbayeh, The Peninsula Avenue in Mtayleb, and The Italian Restaurant in Gemmayzeh, among others.

Baroudi said that they are working with the Ministry of Tourism and Bureau Veritas to acquire the appropriate accreditations.
