Juice Up, a local juice outlet, is planning to open three new branches this year, according to Philippe Letayf, Chairman of Live Up, the parent company.

The concept of the juice bar is to prepare fresh juices, without additives, water or sugar in front of customers. According to Letayf, there is an increasing trend for healthy food and juices. “We established Juice Up, a fresh juice concept, having been inspired by British and American models,” he said.

Investment in the first outlet, which opened in Sodeco, Ashrafieh last year was $200,000. Each of the three upcoming outlets will cost $100,000-$150,000. Their potential destinations include Verdun, Hazmieh and Antelias/Naccache. The new branches will have a bigger space of 40-50 square meters and will have a small seating area.

Letayf said that later this year, the company will franchise its juice bar to the Middle East, mainly the Gulf. “There is a high demand for such drinks in Arab countries,” he said and they will be working on strengthening the brand name before launching a wider expansion campaign.
