The Municipality of Zahle has terminated the solid waste treatment contract with Sanitek and appointed E.E.S. Joseph Kahi and Associates instead.

The replacement came after a dispute between the municipality and Sanitek regarding quality of service.

E.E.S., which is by owned Joseph Kahi, will take over after the municipality staff rehabilitates the site.

The annual inflow of waste from Zahle and neighboring regions is 100,000 tons per year.
