Plastic plate manufacturing in Zahle

Saba Plast, a manufacturer of plastic plates for ceilings and doors, opened in the industrial city in Zahle, in early April.

Gobran Saba, General Manager, said: “Most plastic plates available in the market are imported, so we decided to establish the factory to fulfill the market’s needs.”

The $2 million factory has a built-up area of 1,200 square meters. It is equipped with machines imported from Italy and China. The factory created around 50 full time jobs.

It has a production capacity of 50 tons of plastics per month. Saba said the factory also produces customized plastic plates.

The factory’s produce is distributed locally and will be exported to Congo.
