A.R. Jubaili, a manufacturer of power generators, will open a factory in the industrial zone of Zahle, in early 2016.

Nader Jubaili, Managing Director, said: “We are going to install new machines with new techniques that require larger spaces to improve the quality of generators.”

The $5 million project will have a total built-up area of 10,000 square meters. The Bekaa facility will double the company’s production capacity to 5,000 generators, per year. “We expect a 25 percent increase in production in the first year,” said Jubaili.

Although the new equipment to be installed will reduce the number of workers, according to Jubaili, the new facility will see an increase of 25% in staff.

The company exports 80 percent of its production to Iraq, Gulf countries, and Africa.

Jubaili recently opened a 300 m2 showroom in Basra. “The city is the safest place in Iraq, where there is a large demand for generators by oil and gas companies,” said Jubaili. The company also owns a showroom in Baghdad and a factory in Nigeria.
