Green Hill factory expands in Saida

Green Hill, a manufacturer of tahini, halawi, and pickles, will expand its factory in Ghazieh, Saida. Operations will start in September.

The $2 million project will increase the space of the factory from 600 to 1,200 square meters. Machines and equipment required for the industry were purchased from local factories.

The factory will create six full time jobs to reach a total of 18 employees. Houssein Hassoun, General Manager, said that the company took a loan supported by Kafalat for the expansion.

The production capacity is expected to double to 4.5 tons per day. The raw materials required for this industry is exported from Sudan.

Around 95 percent of the production will be exported to Gulf countries.
