The United Kingdom will grant the Ministry of Education and Higher Education $15 million to help Syrian refugee students and locals enroll in public school.

The UK will also grant $2 million for enhancing the education sector program, which is implemented by the World Bank and monitored by the ministry.

Around 106,000 students will be able to enroll for the school year 2015-2016. Additional classes will be opened in the afternoons to provide education for a wide range of students.

The UK has contributed $70 million to the education sector during the last five years.
