Miramar Hotel & Spa, in Qalamoun-Tripoli, a beach resort built in the early 1990s, is extending its premises and building Miramar 2.

The project is being built on a 10,000 square meter plot of land adjacent to the first property. It consists of five blocks, each with three aboveground floors, and one underground. The total built-up area is 10,000 m2.

The space will host 53 chalets, pools, and other facilities. Works will start in February 2016 and will be completed by June 2017, said Fadi Beydoun of Fadi Beydoun for Consultancy and Construction, designers of the project. The same bureau is also responsible for contracting works. Investment in the project is over $5 million.

Mohammad Adib, who purchased Miramar in 2011, expanded and renovated the resort last summer.

The property has a 500-meter beachfront. The resort includes around 347 revamped chalets. The additions include a boutique hotel consisting of 30 rooms and suites, a ballroom, a conference room, and other amenities such as a spa and a gym. It also includes five food and beverage outlets. The resort has has its own marina and offers a number of sports activities. According to Beydoun, guests of Marimar 2 will be able to benefit from all the amenities, services, and activities offered by the first property.
