The Syndicate of Private Hospitals announced that the Ministry of Public Health has not yet signed the hospitalization contracts with the hospitals for 2015. Hospitals are accepting patients without any legal or financial coverage to avoid a health crisis.

The Syndicate said that this measure will threaten the loss of the hospitals’ rights especially since around $120 million in financial dues from 2000 till 2011 have not yet been paid to the hospitals.

The Syndicate called for signing the decrees and decisions required to secure the continuity of offering hospitalization services. The Cabinet already approved a decree draft last July that called for distributing the funds for hospitalization services at the expense of the Ministry, but it was not published in the Official Gazette because some of the ministers have not yet signed the decree.
