Lebanese workers plan protest for better wages

A coalition of trade and teachers' unions Monday declared a general strike for Oct. 20, 26 and Nov. 4 to bring attention back to their four-year-long struggle for wage hikes.

The Union Coordination Committee also threatened to escalate their actions if Parliament, which is scheduled to convene on Oct. 20, fails to pass the salary scale.
