Souheil Fakhran Foods Company will open a factory for nuts and kernels in Kab Elias in early 2017.

Total investment in the project will reach $6 million, including the cost of the land. The project will stretch over an area of 10,200 square meters, with a built-up area of 9,000 m2. It will create around 25 full time jobs.

Mohamad Fakhran, General Manager, said: “Part of the project will be funded through subsidized loans borrowed from banks.”

The factory will be equipped with fully automated machines imported from Spain. “We will be producing new kinds of nuts and kernels,” he said.

The factory’s production capacity will reach 2,500 tons per year, part of which will be distributed locally. “We are targeting Europe,” said Fakhran.
