All courier companies now permitted to process work permits

The Ministry of Labor has terminated the exclusive rights of LibanPost to handle paperwork pertaining to work permits. This decision has allowed all postal companies to handle work permit processing. Business employers and individuals now have the choice to send applications related to housekeepers and employees through other courier services besides LibanPost.

The Labor Ministry had signed a contract in 2008 with LibanPost authorizing the company to exclusively handle work permits, paperwork regarding housemaids, patent applications and withdrawal of certificates of deposits.
