The Municipality of Saida has decided to close the shopping souks before all vehicles and transform it into a pedestrian area.

The Saida Traders Association launched a petition for preventing vehicles from entering the souks, upon the request of the area’s traders. It was presented to Mayor Mohammad Saudi who provided his consent.

Saudi said that cars will also be prevented from parking on either side of the street and hawkers will be removed.
