Health Ministry launches emergency service
Share
The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) has announced a new mechanism for emergency cases that are having difficulties being admitted to hospitals.
The service was put together in collaboration with the Syndicate of Hospital Owners with the goal of following up on patients’ complaints and comments.
A hotline was created for patients who want to raise a complaint about private hospitals, which is 1214. The ministry appointed local firm Teleperformance that will receive and process these complaints 24/7.
“The company will notify specialized personnel in each hospital about the complaint in order to fix it,” said Minister Wael Abu Faour. The Syndicate will provide the ministry with the name of the person who will be in charge of this task in every hospital.
“The goal of this mechanism is not to note the presence of complaints but rather to find immediate treatment for emergency cases,” he said.
