René Mouawad Foundation develops 42 projects

The second phase of the Building Alliance for Local Advancement and Investment (BALADI) program was launched by the René Moawad Foundation (RMF), in collaboration with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and Caritas.

The second phase includes development projects in the following nine sectors: agricultural industries, irrigation channels, potable water, rural tourism, entrepreneurship and vocational centers, public education, health, solar power generation, sports, and social community centers.

The program includes 42 projects in 92 villages and towns. It will be executed in collaboration with 77 NGOs. The program is expected to impact the lives of 250,000 individuals by 2017.

RMF is working on 17 projects that were previously announced and in collaboration with 36 municipalities and 43 NGOs. BALADI has served 10,000 individuals in projects valued to-date at $3.6 million.
