Construction of a new commercial center, Choueifat Mall, is almost complete. It will be located on Choueifat’s main street.

Wissam Abdel Kareem Hammoud, Chairman of National Food Company, owner and operator of Al-Wataniya supermarket, owns the mall. The supermarket will open at the mall this month, but the rest of the mall will not open until later this year.

Choueifat Mall is the fourth of its kind in the area, following The Spot Choueifat, Danco Commercial Center, and Choueifat Shopping Center.

It has a built-up area of 12,000 square meters. “It can host between 20 to 40 shops, as the spaces are modular,” Hammoud said. It may also easily fit up to five restaurants.

The project’s architect is local firm, Scarples. The estimated investment in the Choueifat Mall is around $5 million.
