A $30 million grant was provided by the Kuwaiti Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED) to the Government to finance projects to support Syrian refugees in host communities.

The projects aim at enhancing the level of health, education, social, and water and waste public services. They will include rehabilitating hospitals and medical centers, establishing children’s nurseries, renovating water treatment plants, as well as equipment for municipality works, and consultancy services.

The grant will cover the whole cost of the projects, which will be finalized in late 2018. The Council for Development and Reconstruction (CDR) will be managing the projects.
