Saudi Prince Al Waleed Bin Talal, was the Arab world’s richest man in 2009 and the 19th wealthiest worldwide with a net worth of$19.4 billion. He was followed by the other Saudi businessman, Mohammad Al Amoudi ($10 billion), and from Kuwait, businessman Nasser Al Khrafi with a net worth of $8.7 billion.

The son of Slain Ex-Lebanese Premier, Rafik Hariri, Bahaa Hariri was the top Lebanese billionaire with a net worth of $3 billion. Prime Minister, Saad Hariri’s net worth of $1.9 billion ranked him as fourth Lebanese billionaire, after former Prime Minister, Najib Mikati and his brother Taha. The net worth of the two brothers stood at $2.5 billion for each.

Ayman and Fahad Hariri, Hariri’s other sons were also included in the list with an equal net worth of $1.4 billion for both of them.

The list included 1,011 billionaires, up from 793 in 2008. The total net worth of all billionaires grew to $3.6 trillion, up from $2.4 trillion in 2008.
