Fraickco, a newly established company, will open a factory for ‘ashta’ cream and ice cream products in Naameh, in late 2017.

Mohamad Farida, CEO, said: “The company will produce ashta to be sold either in bulk, or in plastic and stainless cans, as well as vacuumed nylon bags.” The products will have the brand name ‘Fraick.co’.

Investment in the project is $5 million, including the cost of the land. The total built-up area of the factory is 4,000 square meters. The factory will create around 50 full time jobs.

Production capacity of the factory is estimated at 10 tons of ashta and ice cream per day. The factory will use powdered milk for the production, which it will import from Europe.

Fraickco will distribute its production in various local regions. “We are also targeting the Gulf markets,” Farida said.
