The Association of Arab Orphans will open an elderly home in Zeghdraya, Zahrani, in April.

Dr. Imad Osseiran, Chairman of the Association and major shareholder of the Osseiran Hospital in Saida, said that all the rooms will comprise first aid equipment for the elderly. The hospital will provide initial medical healthcare services and patients will be referred to the Osseiran Hospital if there is a medical need.

The project has a total space of 10,000 square meters. It will comprise two buildings, the first for the elderly and the second will be a technical school for the nursing staff. The built-up area of the hospital is 3,600 m2, including four floors and 50 beds. The school will be opened later.

Investment in the project is $4 million including the cost of the land. Osseiran said that the building is finished, equipped and furnished according to high standards. “We will be offering five star facilities and services,” he said.

The hospital will create around 40 full time jobs. Two physicians will be dedicated for providing healthcare services to the elderly.

Fees for hospital services are not set yet. Osseiran said that fees for 15 beds will be covered by the Ministry of Social Affairs.
