Le Grand Chalet, a new hotel, has opened in the Zaarour Club. The hotel is made up of 16 regular executive, and family rooms.

The hotel hosts a French restaurant, La Table du Chalet, the Montagnon café, a terrace, one large pool, and three kids’ pools. Room rates vary between $200 and $360 per night, during the low season.

The project’s contractor was K. Abboud for Construction General Contractors, and architect Issam Barhouch. Investments in the hotel totaled $7 million.

Carole El Murr, CEO of Zaarour Club, said: “When we started rebranding the club, we thought of developing a hotel to receive visitors.” Le Grand Chalet is the only hotel in Zaarour Club.

“We came up with the idea at the end of 2012 and the project was completed at the end of 2015,” she said. The structure was present and previously used as a gym.

El Murr said: “Although we opened only two months ago, demand was very high and we expect footfall to increase when the weather starts to warm up.”

Local firm Amber Consulting oversaw the hotel’s opening.

Zaarour Club is considering the hotel’s expansion in the future, to include a spa and bungalows.
