The Ministry of Education and Higher Education will receive a $32 million grant from the World Bank to support the operational needs of schools and educational improvements to meet the huge influx of Syrian refugee students to local schools.

The grant will contribute in financing all student expenditures in the schools, as well as rehabilitating the buildings of some public schools, and enhancing the quality of education.

It will also provide students with part of the required books and stationery needed, as well as supporting the capabilities of the Guidance Department to be able to exercise adequate control levels on the schools.

The Ministry will be responsible for managing and implementing the project.
