Lebanon approves new plan to promote tourism
The four year plan calls for adopting the industrial tourism concept

The plan calls for adopting the “industrial tourism” concept which includes ,in addition to developing infrastructure in all regions, creating new employment opportunities, proposing new investment initiatives, and preserving Lebanon’s cultural and historical heritage.

Under the plan, the Ministry will work on restructuring its different administrative bodies which will contribute to a better distribution of tasks amongst its employees.

In addition it plans to activate the Supreme Committee for Tourism to boost cooperation between Ministries, establishing an information and statistical base for tourism, launching marketing and advertising campaigns, and identifying target groups to better define their tourism trends and desires.

The plan also includes establishing the “Lebanon Promoting Board” to promote Lebanon’s picture abroad, and calls  for setting up reception centers at airports and on land-border points, archeological sites, and various touristic sites. The Ministry will also participate in international exhibitions and fairs.
