Trade deficit widens in February
Imports up, exports down

Exports reached $342 million for the month , down nine percent compared to the same month in 2009. Imports grew to $1.2 billion, up 17 percent year-on-year in February.

For the first two months of 2010, the Trade deficit widened to $1.8 billion, up 24.2 percent from a year earlier as imports grew higher than exports.

For the period, Imports grew 16.6 percent to $1.5 billion.  Exports dropped slightly by 0.3 percent to $655 million.
