Chtoura Hospital to open new extension in 2017

Monaliza International for Medical Services, owner of Chtoura Hospital, will add two buildings to its premises in late 2017.

The ten million dollar expansion will increase the number of beds in the hospital to 150. Both buildings will include three floors and a basement, with a total built-up area of 8,000 square meters (m2).

The first building will have around 50 beds for general medical services. The second will include outpatient clinics, PET scan, a blood bank, kitchen, and laundry areas.

The extensions will also include a center for cardiology center.

Kassem Hammoud, Chairman, said: “We are currently unable to accept some patients due to the shortage of beds.”

The extension will create around 50 job opportunities.
