The Department of Tenders has awarded contracts for the restoration of four roads in the North. The value of works combined reaches $13 million.

Antoine Makhlouf for Commerce and Contracting won the tender for restoring the road linking Ehden and Zgharta. Works will include Kobbeh, Tourza, and Mejdlaya. The contract is valued at $2.7 million.

Roads in Akkar will also be restored. Al Halabi and Associates for Contracting won a two-million-dollar tender for the restoration of the Soueisseh-KfarJarra-Deir Jennine-el Bireh road.

After having two financially equal offers for the restoration of the Shekka-Kousba road, the Department resorted to choosing the tender at random. Bureau Hamid Kairouz was picked as the winner of the contract valued at $4.4 million.

Global Contracting won a tender for the restoration of Kobbeh-Meryata-Sir el Dinniyeh- Minyeh road. The contract is valued at $3.7 million.
