More than 1,000 business managers, investors, and company leaders attended the 2016 edition of the ‘Business Opportunities in Lebanon’ Conference on its inaugural day, October 19.

Organized by InfoPro, the parent company of Lebanon Opportunities and under the theme ‘Cutting Edge’, the two-day Conference was held at the Movenpick Hotel & Resort.

Ramzi El Hafez, Publisher of Lebanon Opportunities, said: “To be a winner in challenging times, business people must arm themselves with cutting-edge technology, management, and marketing strategies to bring cutting edge products and services.”

“In spite of all the challenges, the country is economically strong. The private sector and entrepreneurs have proven resilience, and long term endurance. They are able to overcome any challenges no matter how long the political establishment keeps on messing things up,” he said.

The conference announced that more than 400 companies have signed the ‘Green Business Pledge’ with Lebanon Opportunities. The creation of the ‘Lebanon Opportunities Green Business Club’ was also announced. The Club provides a forum in which all the signatories can exchange information and learn about sustainability practices.

More than 50 panelists shared their experiences in 15 dedicated workshops during the two-day conference.
