Accelerator for social entrepreneurship by AltCity and UNICEF

Elevate, a new accelerator by AltCity in partnership with UNICEF, is in the launch phase.

AltCity is a local accelerator that offers startup funding, mentorship, and exposure.

Rachelle Boumelhem of AltCity, said: “We are seeking startups that have ideas that tackle social problems.”

Elevate aims to support and launch social companies working on enterprise solutions related to core UNICEF programs: Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), health and nutrition, education, child protection, youth and adolescent development, and basic needs.

Program members will receive intensive hands-on training and support from experts including a chance to participate in the Bootcamp program by AltCity. Support can include cash prizes for selected teams.
The accelerator targets all of the country and not just one region, based on a quota system that UNICEF has put together.
