A project for the development of a music conservatory in Dbayeh has been launched.

The project will be financed by a grant from the Chinese government, totaling $35 million.

The Chinese will design and develop the National Conservatoire for Music, which will include several music halls for training purposes, as well as an amphitheater for concerts, with a capacity of 1,400 seats.

The project will be built on a land area of 15,000 square meters.

The Council for Development and Reconstruction (CDR) will oversee the construction work. The contractor for the project has not been appointed yet.

The National Conservatoire, which is currently located in Sin el Fil, will continue to operate. The administrative department, however, will be moved to the new location.

The project is expected to be completed within three years.
