The United Kingdom plans to provide more than £90 million ($115 million) to support economic development in Lebanon under the plan presented at the CEDRE donor conference, said U.K. Ambassador Chris Rampling.

Rampling said that his country looks forward to a resilient and vibrant Lebanese economy where more British companies would invest. The commitment of the Lebanese government to quickly go ahead with effective economic reforms would help achieve this goal, he said.

The U.K. has already provided more than $200 million to support the security and economic prosperity of Lebanon, according to Rampling.
