Hariri was speaking at a Workshop at the Grand Serail titled “Improving the Investment Environment.”

Hariri said that Lebanon has “a unique opportunity to improve its business environment, and meet people’s priorities.” He said that the government has offered a week ago, a strategy to reform the power sector, that will be executed through partnerships with the private sector, and donor parties.

“Lebanon has been able to defy the global financial crisis. GDP Growth has touched eight percent,” Hariri said.
