LAU Medical Center
to manage St. John Hospital
To include 40 beds

Lebanese American University Medical Center (LAUMC) has leased St. John Medical Center in Jounieh from the Congregation of Lebanese Maronite Missionaries to manage it.

The boutique hospital, which is owned by the Congregation, will open to the public in May 2020. It will be named LAU St. John Medical Center.

The total built-up area of the hospital is 7,000 square meters. It consists of three floors and a basement with 40 beds in total, for general medical services and surgical operations.

LAUMC will introduce some amendments to the building before it starts operations, said Christian Oussi, Senior Advisor to the President for Public Affairs.

The construction cost of the hospital reached $15 million and investment in medical equipment $5 million.
