Entrepreneurship Organization “Endeavour” Opens Beirut Office

Endeavour Global announced that it will open a country affiliate in Beirut. The aim of the move is “to identify and service promising entrepreneurs”, a statement by the US-based organization declared.
Endeavour Global is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting high-potential entrepreneurs in emerging markets through mentoring, access to key networks, strategic advice and introductions to sources of capital.
The Beirut office will be the 11th independently administered branch in the world and the 4th in the MENA region. It will be headed by Fares I. Fares, chairman and CEO of the financial firm, Wedge Alternatives. Members of the board will include Azmi Mikati, Chairman and CEO of M1 Group; Sami Khoury, Teeba Holdings CEO and former Booz and & Company executive Charles El-Haj.  
 The statement maintained that Endeavour currently serves more than 550 entrepreneurs representing more than 300 companies worldwide. It added that Endeavor-mentored entrepreneurs generated $3.5billion in revenues, raised $92million in equity capital in 2009, and have created about 130,000 high-quality jobs.
