The Embassy said it will allocate $1.9 million to the Ministry of Public Health to support maternal-infant care services in hospitals in the undeveloped areas.

It will donate nearly $2.7 million to the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) to support the “Water Table Map of Lebanon” project.

Another $2.2 million will be donated to the United National Industrial Development Program (UNIDO) to support the “Community Empowerment and Livelihoods Enhancement Project,” the Embassy said.

The Ministry of Tourism and the Municipality of Baalbeck will jointly receive a contribution of $295,092 from the Italian Embassy. The donation will be used to develop the touristic infrastructure in the Baalbeck area and the Bekaa valley.
