The Ministry of Tourism police squad closed down a night club in Gemmayze for one week after serving alcohol to underage clubbers. A communiqué by that was issued by the ministry on Monday said that the law bans serving tobacco and alcohol to customers who are under 18 years old. Last week, five additional nightclubs in Gemmayze and Monot were also closed for a week for violating the prohibition law. “The closure came after the nightclubs in question had been issued with warnings not to admit underage customers,” the communiqué said. It is intended to demonstrate the ministry’s determination to enforce the law, it said.
