Traffic of Private Planes Down at RHIA

For the first time since the inauguration of the General Aviation terminal at Rafik Hariri international airport in 2004, the arrival and departure of private airplanes retreated by 29 percent in January, compared to the same period in 2010. The movement of air freight was also down by about 9 percent, while that of airmail was up by 13 percent. The traffic of passengers in and out remained almost unchanged at 735,000.
