$1.7 million for new police station
US’ law-enforcement program offers facilities to Ministry of Interior

August 4, 2011- The Ministry of Finance announced that the United States donated to the Internal Security Forces (ISF) facilities and equipment. The donation, delivered to the Ministry of Interior and Municipalities, is valued at over $1.7 million.

According to the ministry, these donations fall within the framework of the US assistance for law-enforcement programs in the country. The donation included a new police station in the area adjacent to the Nahr-El Bared Palestinian refugee camp.

The statement said that the U.S. has committed over $132 million to the law-enforcement program since October 2006.
